Random Shots: Metro Manila

Here are some photos of Metro Manila I've taken for the past few weeks...

Pink and Blue. You know you're in Metro Manila when you see these colors in a major road. Katipunan, Quezon City.

Store Guard. I got scolded for this one. I asked permission from an elderly guy standing outside the store, thinking he was the owner. He noded. Apparently, it was the guy in red. Binondo, Manila.

Spring Feeling. La Vista, Quezon City.

Mushroom with an Attitude. Katipunan, Quezon City.

Cyclops. I always pass by this warehouse whenever I go to one of my clients. It always reminds me of a one-eyed giant. San Antonio, Makati City.

Welcoming Committee. La Vista, Quezon City.

Neovandalism

It's perhaps the new mode in vandalism-- Mass produced stickers. Spray paint and markers are still there. But recently, vandals have been stickering the street signs of Metro Manila with these photocopied graffiti.

Could it be the cheaper cost? Or the convenience of vandalizing as quick as a tap? In any case, I find it interesting that the vandals have made signages talk and even stick out a tongue. These are of course eyesores, and obviously the vandals are uber bored, making the streets their personal scrapbook.

Tell me what you think...
